As your Doula, you can count on me to make sure you feel confident throughout the entire process. You will be amazed at yourself and the strength you already carry within.

Hello, congratulations on your new bundle! My name is Karriane and I am A Woman Who Serves trained and graduated Birth Doula servicing Dayton, Ohio and the greater surrounding areas! After being a nanny for eight years I recognized a need mothers had during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum for support. So, I became a Doula to make a difference in the world, in your world. I believe strongly in this work and believe in evidence based physiological birth for all women.
I offer personalized birthing support and postpartum support. My goals are to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy and labor process as well as to hold you up and comfort you in the fourth trimester. You are not alone!
My consults are always free to see if we mesh well together for your goals and comfort, please set apart at least an hour for your free consultation. This will be a time where you can ask me questions and I will ask you questions to build relationship. You may also schedule a 30 minute zoom meet and greet prior.

What do I offer?
I provide you and your partner with care, understanding, evidence based unbiased information, and support preterm, during labor, and postpartum. Our initial meeting will help me tailor my packages to fit your needs. From there, the pricing may change.

PRENATAL VISITS
Informative and Compassionate
I take on a limited number of clients at any one time to make sure I can give you the full care and attention you deserve.
I offer two prenatal visits with my birth package.
The first we will go over creating your birth plan, fears, and the contract. I will provide you with evidence based birth so you can create the best birth plan for your family.
The second will be an educational meeting with ways to cope through early labor, how your partner can support you, and the tools I offer.
LABOR SUPPORT
Support and virtual support
I offer unwavering support to you and your family before, during and after birth. I will stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you’re doing and step in with anything you might need.
Access to me 24/7 upon hire as well as being on call 37 weeks on through two weeks after birth.
I come beside you with my Mary Poppins of Doula bags equipped with tools to change the atmosphere, help pressure and pain, and ease the mind throughout active labor (or sooner if you need me).
With many hours of expertise training and experience I am here to empower you to have the best informed consent and advocacy you need to make the best choices during your labor.
I'm also available for virtual support for clients over 60 minutes away outside of my normal Birth Doula package!
POSTPARTUM SUPPORT
You are not alone.
Pregnancy, birth, and the early days of child rearing can be very scary and stressful. My role with my Postpartum service is to ensure you get the best information and care possible. No matter when you need me, I will be there offering support. My Birth Doula package includes two postpartum visits where I will help you with anything you might need such as light housework, light meal prep, or just chatting.
I am available for Postpartum Doula care as a separate package starting at 3 hour packages. Postpartum Doula care is available to you up to year one of babies birth, I have many years of experience as a mother's helper/ postpartum doula. WHAT IS A DOULA?

A Birth and Postpartum Doula come beside the mother to honor and give 27/7 support upon hire to her and her family at a transitional period in life.
A Doula…
Will have a variety of resources to help support you in whatever path you choose.
Provides comfort, labor positions, massage, and breathing techniques in early labor and active labor.
Assists you in emotionally following what you want your birth to be.
Will work with you so that you can advocate for yourself before, during, and after labor.
Is a constant support throughout your labor journey.
WHAT A DOULA DOES NOT DO
I offer support, not medical advice
As a Doula I am a non-medical professional.
I am not going to perform clinical tasks, for example, cervical checks or monitoring the fetal heart rate.
I will not recommend or advise against any medical procedures.
I do not replace your Midwife, Nurse, or OBGYN.
I will provide you with unbiased information so that you may make an informed decision from informed consent.
I will always refer you to your healthcare provider for any medical questions.
I cannot speak for you, but I will empower you to speak for yourself and I will hold your hand while you do so in full support of your educated and intuitive decisions.
I will not be in your partner's way or replace your partner or spouse. I am here to offer support to both of you.
